Has any one run in to any unused assets like swords or effects connected either to Dormans Blade the Ancient Bow or the "Enlightenments" like glow effects or sounds associated with them on PS2? Now I have a few questions if any one knows? I am okey with looking stupid if I am wrong I just want to know for sure. In every iteration of the game I have gone back to that location looking for what I saw. The crappy thing about this is I was never able to replicate it again or record it at the time. I found the same location in PS4 hoping to find the same enlightenment. The odd thing about this area is that it is the only location I know of in the open world (not in a boss area) that has fish and climbable trees that didn't have any fruit. I found it on the shore of a lake at (edit C3) The lake has tortoises on the shore it was deep enough for large fish,there was also climbable trees next to it. It looked exactly as they do in the ps4 and makes the same chime. I also remember actually finding an "enlightenment" on PS2 but not being able to pick it up.
I remember hearing the song in the desert near the bridge coming from one of the rock spires close to the save point and bridge in the "F2" area. I am not sure what activated it hacked items or it was the time I was playing. The other thing I remember was the song and chime of the hidden what they call "Enlightenments" now on PS4. I even beat the game with it thinking it would change something in the ending.Īgain this sounds crazy. I also remember it could take massive damage on any part of the colossi's bodies. I remember thinking it looked like the sword of omens from Thundercats. Instead of blackness swirling around the blade it gave off black electricity kind of like what the PS4 version of the "Queens Blade" does. The blades effects were different then what is in the PS4. It also had a shadow blur effect on it and it shot black rays instead of light rays. For the "Dormins Blade" like sword it slowly drained your hp and it had a glowing jewel on the hilt that blinked and changed from white to red. I remember the "Ancient Bow" revealed the weak points of colossi when you got close to them. When reloading the game without the code device the items that were unused don't appear. Īlso the other thing to know about these items when using the code is they it did not save. it also Including "The eye of the Colossus" I look similar to this. Though it did extend the item list and you could click items on and off. I don't remember if I was in hard or normal mode when I activated the cheat. I am also going to see if I might be able to get a PS2 game shark. I found another place that has more up to date codes. The all Items code doesn't seem to work properly all it does is trigger the cinematic of you getting an item in the shrine and the description of the items but the item does not appear in the inventory. (Edit) I managed to get my hand on a code breaker and test the codes out from Game FAQS. Though the post does coincide with my old PS2 save dates. It has been a wile and I don't own "Code Breaker" anymore. This may or may not be the codes I used at the time. I know what you are going to say "you are nuts" but please hear me out. Some of the more notable ones were the "Ancient Bow"which is now a pre-order bonus for PS4 and a sword similar to what they now call "Dormans Blade". I remember a "Code Breaker" or "Game Shark" "All Items code" that activated a bunch of unused items for PS2. I remember seeing some of these Items before. I really want to confirm or debunk a memory I have about "Shadow of the Colossus" for PS2.Īnyway, when seeing the extras added to Shadow of the colossus remastered for PS4 I got a sort of deja vu.
